Tini Manu

Te Hare Natura is the name of our building at Tini Manu. Primarily we needed a water catchment to give us freshwater to help our new tree saplings survive. We will use it as the gateway for our conservation efforts: we want to plant 10,000 trees on this motu (islet) in the next two years. Repairing the failed forest is an important step against climate change impacts.

Building materials were provided by Cook Islands Climate Change via their SRIC-CC programme, which is funded by UNDP's Multi-Country Office in Samoa. We thank you all for your support as we try to keep our atoll safe for future generations. Meitaki Poria!
